Killam has been awarded the Let Them Be Kids Award along with the Kool Aid Award to assist them in building a bike/skate park in Heritage Park. Along with the bike/skate park build we will also be building an Amphitheatre, barbeque area and new walking trail on the build day of September 25th which is Let Them Be Kids Day across Canada where 10 new playgrounds will be built in 10 Provinces and Territories across Canada on that day. We are honoured to be chosen for this award and on Tuesday the 27th of July we will begin the project with a sod turning at 5:30 at Heritage Park then on to the Killam Agriplex for a Design Pizza Party where the kids of the community will be deciding what components they want in the bike/skate park.
